Freestyle Libre Setup Step 3: Apply your Performance Cover

Overview:

This article provides an overview of what a performance cover is and how to apply it your arm.  

Levels Performance Covers help to hold your CGM in place for the full 14-days, protecting it against snagging, peeling, and water intrusion. They are latex and oxide free, with hypoallergenic adhesive, and breathable, innovative cotton blend material.

How to apply your Performance Cover:

  1. Peel off the white paper on the back of the Performance Cover that is protecting the adhesive. Do not to touch the adhesive side when applying. 
  2. Center the cover over your sensor (adhesive side down on skin) and stick it down on your skin, starting at the center and working outward (see video below for visual tutorial). 
  3. Rub briskly from the center to the edges to activate the adhesive. Do not rub from the edge toward the center, or you may cause the edges to peel away from the skin.
